I do not have an annual pass, but I have been to DisneySea more than 20 times in total, so I know the attractions well.

 

So, I made up a list of the attractions with a maximum score of 10 points each for speed, thrill, and floating, for a total of 30 points. The attractions that appear here are those classified as “speed and thrill” on the official website.

 

Let’s get started and introduce the attractions in order of the degree of screaming.

 

No. 1: Tower of Terror

 

No. 1 is the Tower of Terror, eerily erected on the American Waterfront. It is a free-fall attraction that soars and descends at high speed through the darkness.

 

✔Screaming Points

 

The scariest thing about Tower of Terror is the feeling of floating. Since you only have to put something like a car seat belt around your waist, your body is not really fixed to the ground. Because of this, you can experience a floating sensation as if your internal organs are floating.

 

If you don’t like the feeling of floating, you might want to prepare yourself for the ride.

 

Also, the seats are in an enclosed fence-like space, and it is basically almost completely dark except at the top where you can look out the window. Once you are on the ride, you cannot escape until it is over, which is also terrifying.

 

The ride is unpredictable, with ups and downs, rapid descents and ascents. You don’t know how far the top is because you are surrounded in pitch-dark space. The fear of not being able to see how far you are going up or how far you are going to fall is quite intense.

 

If you like thrills and floating, you will have fun and be very vocal. From the top, you can enjoy good views both day and night. On the other hand, if you are not good at it, please note that it will be quite painful.

 

*From January 4 to March 17, 2023, “Tower of Terror “Unlimited”” is open for a limited time. The movements are different and scarier than usual.

No. 2: Journey to the Center of the Earth

 

No.2 is the Journey to the Center of the Earth, which is marked by a volcano located in the center of DisneySea. This volcano erupts regularly and produces real fire.

 

✔Screaming Points

 

The theme of this attraction is subterranean exploration, and in the middle of the ride, volcanic activity begins and the ride accelerates rapidly through the ground. The last acceleration is the fastest of all the attractions in Disney Sea Land at about 75 km/h, which is quite fast.

 

This last rapid acceleration is addictive. The ride accelerates and rises rapidly as it winds up, and when it reaches the top, it drops down, looking out for a moment. The sense of speed of the rapid acceleration as you are being hoisted up is addictive.

 

However, those who do not like fast things will find it scary.

 

The feeling of floating when falling is momentary, but you will experience a visceral floating sensation. You can experience a solid floating sensation.

 

Although it ranks second in the scream ranking, I personally rank it first in terms of attraction satisfaction. You can scream and have fun at the same time, and you will never get tired of this attraction no matter how many times you ride it.

No. 3: Raging Spirits

 

No.3  is Raging Spirits, an outdoor coaster located in the area farthest from the entrance, the Lost River Delta.

 

✔Screaming Points

 

The centerpiece of this outdoor roller coaster, which takes place at the excavation site of an ancient ruin, is a 360-degree loop. The centerpiece of the ride is a 360-degree spinning loop, which gives visitors the sensation of gravity being applied to their bodies. For those who love screaming, it is a great experience to be able to do a 360-degree spin at Disney.

 

The speed is surprisingly fast, up to 60km/h. You will feel a bit of floating sensation after the first drop, but not as much as at Tower of Terra or Journey to the Center of the Earth.

 

The course is very narrow and is designed to run around the excavation site. The track is very narrow, and you will feel like you are going faster than 60km/h.

 

It is an outdoor course, so it is pleasant on a sunny day, and you can enjoy the exhilarating feeling under the blue sky.

No. 4 is Indiana Jones Adventure: The Palace of the Crystal Skull, a popular attraction that has been located next to Raging Spirits since its opening.

Just like the popular adventure movie “Indiana Jones”, there are many surprising gadgets and movements in this attraction. You will feel like you are on an adventure.

 

Visitors board a jeep-type vehicle and drive through the palace. The movements are like an adventure, with small increments and large turns. In particular, there is a lot of swinging from side to side, and you can feel the centrifugal force that throws you out of the vehicle.

 

In the last scene, the rider escapes from a huge rock fall by falling down. The fall does not feel particularly floating, and even those who are not good at falling can enjoy the ride.

 

This attraction is more of an adventure than a thrill ride. It is a thrilling and enjoyable ride, and highly satisfying.

No. 5 is Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster, a cute roller coaster that even those who don’t like screaming can enjoy.

This mini roller coaster is based on the popular Little Mermaid character, Flander, and is suitable for even the youngest children. The ride smoothly winds its way around a course inspired by the ocean. The compact body makes the ride feel smooth, especially when going around curves.

 

Don’t underestimate the compactness of the vehicle. The speed is much faster than expected. I think this is because the car runs smoothly through the narrow and enclosed course.

 

Like the speed you feel, the gravity you feel is also greater than you expect. I feel gravity a little when I take a left-right leaning curve. I mentioned that it is more than I expected, but I don’t think it is enough to make me brace myself. It’s just that I feel it a little.

 

It looks cute, but you will experience unexpected speed and gravity. Even those who are not good at screaming can enjoy the ride. For those who are looking for a more thrilling experience, we recommend that you ride in the back.
